Prerequisites for OCHA DHARMA WORKSHOP

This workshop is for you if you —

  • Want a deeper dive into Lucumi and Vajrayana Buddhism.
  • Have a strong base & regular practice (e.g., 4+ years) in Lucumi (or other African-based traditions), and/or any Buddhist lineage.
  • Are willing to commit to attending the full series. If you need to miss no more than one session, we ask that you get caught up with another member of the group, as we will be building on content.
  • Have engaged in intentional personal, interpersonal, community and systemic work around Deep Equity, race & other intersectional identities (e.g., gender, class, caste, color, sexual identity, etc.).
  • Are seeking to explore & deepen your practice and contribution to the liberation of all beings and things throughout the avenues of your life.

  • Saturday, January 20th – 4:00-5:30pm ET
    Vehicles of Practice: The Yanas in Ocha Dharma
  • Saturday, February 17th – 4:00-5:30pm ET
    Approaches to Practice at the Levels of Body/Physical, Speech/Energy/Emotions, & Mind/View/Sight (in the two lineages)
  • Saturday, March 2nd – 4:00-5:30pm ET
    The Nature & Purpose of Practice with Deity/Wisdom Beings (in the two lineages)
  • Saturday, March 23rd – 4:00-5:30pm ET
    Application to Social Systems Change

Cost: Sliding Scale $60–$400 for the full series.
