Ekoji Buddhist Sangha Kitchen rehab

Our “new” kitchen won’t look exactly like the renderings, but pretty close. It will be well-lit, and designed for plenty of storage and food prep space, as well most efficient traffic. Most of the cabinet boxes will be refurbished, as they are basically well-made—a more ecological approach. Lower cabinets will be drawers, allowing full and easy access to their contents. Backsplash will be tile and countertop granite (no more scorch marks!). Kitchen committee has yet to select exact color and kind of doors, as well as handles, towel racks, etc.

Contribute via GoFundMe OR write a check to Ekoji Buddhist Sangha, be sure to put in the memo “Kitchen Fund” and drop it in the Dana box at Ekoji. (Donations are tax-deductible)

Ekoji kitchen, east side with solid (more sound blocking) door to meditation room. Microwave with oven below; countertop will be continuous so we’ll have a spacious serving surface and a less congested sink area. Fridge will be counter-depth and narrower than the present fridge (but still big enough to serve our needs), to save electricity and space.
Refurbished Ekoji kitchen, window / west side. Cooktop will be induction (not gas) for safety, health, and easy cleaning. New faucet and filtered water dispenser are already installed, to be reinstalled on the refurbish.
